Access to parks
Introduction of limited access to parks
In line with government Covid-19 advice regarding social distancing MBC announced that we would be limiting access to parks and open spaces in the borough with effect from Monday 23rd March. This was due to a large number of people visiting the parks across the previous weekend which did not allow for social distancing and it was therefore, decided to introduce restrictions for the benefit of all residents.
However, we do appreciate that parks are really important places for local communities and with that in mind the parks do remain open to pedestrians allowing local people to visit the areas by foot. All of our larger children’s play areas, park car parks, cafes and toilets in the parks are closed.
